A striking pair of reproduction giclee prints of the original copperplate engravings containing 55 hand-coloured marine flags, some decorated with coats of arms. Drawn by Goussier, they were then engraved by Benard who put together the Encyclopédie which Contained 72,000 articles written by more than 140 contributors, it was a massive reference work for the arts and sciences, which served to propagate Enlightened ideas.
