In the warm waters of Indonesia a school of 'Black Jack' fish gleam in the turquoise bands of sunlight from high above. The species are rarely found in shallow inshore waters, preferring deep, clear offshore waters. This photograph is bursting with the energy and movement of the fish as they swirl and pivot in their synchronised school. Their great numbers fill the entirety of the photograph and push back far in to the depth of field, allowing for great visual splendour. Our gesso and wood frames are hand finished by craftsmen using traditional 17th century Florentine techniques. This frame is hand painted in off-white.
